Warm Up: Reading Predictions for A World Without Fish
- Students should spend about 5 minutes looking over the book, examining both the front and back covers, and looking inside at illustrations, at the different font types, and the cartoons.
Class Activity:
- Pass out Anticipation Guide and answer questions.
- Discuss answers and hand in worksheet.
- Silent Reading for gist: A World Without Fish by Mark Kurlansky pgs. x - xii
- Second Reading aloud for comprehension
- Close Reading: (Comprehension Booklet) answer questions 1-5 independently (answers will be reviewed tomorrow for warm up.)
- Finish Comprehension questions 1 - 5
